Jaisalmer fort:-is known as Golden Fort, it is on the Trikuta hill in Jaisalmer, sonar fort is known as Golden Fort because it is made of yellow sandstone, a fort of Rajasthan whose roof is made of wood, and in this fort, apart from the kings and emperors, common people also lived and did their business, this fort is now famous for its historical destination

7. Sonar fort looks very attractive even before taking its name. It is a fort built on a high hill in the sand dunes. It is the largest living fort built on Trikuta hill. This entire fort is made of yellow stone and hence is called Golden Fort. Most tourists come here between October and November. Few people come here in summer. This is the only fort in which common people used to live along with the king. Even today the people live in this fort and do their business. Along with this, the most unique thing is that the roof of this fort is made of wood which remains cool in summer.
